What is DevIUS and what it stands for?

DevIUS is a community of students that have come together and formed the first Computer Science and Software engineering club on International University of Sarajevo. The idea of this club is for students to create various projects and enhance their knowledge and experience through them. One of the benefits is that it allows our students to improve and enhance their teamwork and cooperation. Students share and improve their knowledge. DevIUS with its expirienced mentor and students helps us train and prepare for various competitions and jobs. The main goal is to create top programmers that could take on the whole world.

DevIUS was create in fall of 2018 with a goal of self improvement and preparation for the real world tasks. Our members range from the first year of studies all the way to masters. With excellent mentors and professors we aim to improve the practical knowledge of our students. The first and current president of DevIUS and its founder is Adem Dugalić. At the time of this club’s founding he and his friends were second year students and having witnessed the enormous gap between them and the world class he and his friends decided that there needs to be something to further improve their skills. The other administrative members include Lamija Bostandžić, Maida Karahmetović, Tarik Muharem and Elmedina Avdibasić. The honorable mentor of DevIUS that made all of this possible is professor dr. Džejla Međedović.
